Welcome to Anchor Inn Resort located on north side of beautiful Caribou Lake
           approximately five miles west of DeTour Village or three miles east of M48,
           via North Caribou Lake Road.  DeTour is situated at the easternmost tip of Michigan's
           Upper Penninsula.  Our resort has 230 feet of lake frontage with a sandy beach
           and two long boat docks.  We have six modern housekeeping cabins, newly renovated,
           all with a great view of Caribou Lake.
          
           Come enjoy our hospitality, spend your summer vacation with us.  Fishing, swimming,
           canoeing, kayaking, shuffleboard, horse-shoes, golf ladder, building sand castles
           on the beach are just a few of the activities you'll find when you visit our resort.
           Experience our beautiful sunsets and clear nights where if you're lucky you may see
           the northern lights while sitting around the campfire.  Our area also has many
           hiking trails and over the road trails.  There are many attractions within an hour
           from our resort.   There's something for the whole family.
          
           We have boats, canoes and kayaks available for your use.  For those who bring their
           own boats, a public access ramp is close by and you can moor your boat at our dock.
           Caribou lake is an all sports lake approximately 825 acres stocked with walleye,
           small mouth and rock bass, pike, perch and various pan fish.  Our area has a variety
           of wild life including whitetail, bear and rare birds.  You can hear the loons call
           their mates.  Our fall foliage is nothing but spectacular.
          
           We can't promise you a record catch of fish, but we can give you a comfortable cottage,
           a beautiful lake and wish you a pleasant vacation.
